Adult Accounts


To open an account simply visit the Credit Union and complete a small membership card... please note that you must bring two forms of identification, one item from LIST A below (Photographic ID) and one item from LIST B below (to confirm your address).

Pay a £2 joining fee, and once your membership is approved, you can start saving. On application all senior members must also complete a POTS form, giving source of income, intentions of turnover etc.

Each £1 is called a ‘Share’ and once you have even one share, you may attend members meetings (AGM and SGM) and you will be entitled to vote at those meetings.

List A (Photograhic ID)
-A current UK or ROI driving licence

-A current UK or Irish Passport

-A bus pass

-An electoral ID card

-A firearms certificate

-National ID card for non UK nationals only
List B (Proof of Address)
-A utility bill less than 3 months old, Electricity bill, phone bill, gas bill. (No photo copies or bills printed from the computer, originals only please)

-Bank statement, credit card statement, less than 3 months old

-Official original, government issued letters. Ie., from HMRC, state pension or other benefits letters clearly showing the address.

In extreme circumstances we may accept a letter on headed paper from a GP, local councillor, school teacher, member of the clergy, employer or a solicitor. The person signing the letter MUST have known the applicant for at least one year.

Junior Accounts

Junior accounts are available for children up to the age of 16.

The joining procedure is similar - we need a form completed to give personal details, along with identification.

ID for a junior member will be quite different so we will accept a birth certificate for infants or for older children perhaps a copy of their passport.

A person other than a parent may open an account for the junior member but only the parent or legal guardian my withdraw money from the account. The joining fee for junior members is £1.
